Arkansas!

I'm now in Arkansas! We crossed the Mississippi today into Arkansas for about a 58mile ride. It was a rather uncomfortable ride at first since we had to cross the bridge on the interstate. We stayed together as a large group and walked across the bridge but I still wish we had a police escort. Once in Arkansas, we took a road that was gravel and rock. I ended up walking alot on that road since I didnt want to risk a fall or damage to my tires. That road ended up being flooded so we had to turn around back to the interstate where the van took 3 trips to transport riders across the interstate to the next safe road to continue. It was a rather rough day today I must admit. It was 97degrees out and about 58 miles of headwind with nothing really to look at. Plus, the roads in Arkansas are pretty crappy. I went about 10mph through the sun and wind and finally arrived in Forest City Arkansas around 5pm. Everyone is pretty worn out from such a long hectic day. I stopped in the dollar general for chocolate milk and trail mix! The church provided a great dinner consisting of salad, lasagna, garlic bread, green beans, and carrot cake! Tmrw we ride over 100miles into Little Rock! We wake up at 4am so I will be in bed by 9pm at the latest. I'll try to post more pictures soon!
